{"id":57643,"date":"2017-12-15T09:41:02","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T07:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=57643"},"modified":"2017-12-15T09:41:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-15T07:41:03","slug":"standard-bank-mentors-hailed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/12\/15\/standard-bank-mentors-hailed\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard Bank mentors hailed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Standard Bank, in partnership with United Nation Children\u2019s Fund (Unicef) has awarded certificates to Standard Bank female employees who have been providing mentorship to primary school girls under the Keep The Girl Child In School initiatiave.<br \/>\nThe initiative was launched in August this year and targeted girls aged between 8-15 years in three; Dedza, Salima and Mangochi.<br \/>\nSpeaking during a ceremony held recently to present the certificates, Unicef Malawi representative, Johannes Wedeing, commended standard Bank for initiating the mentorship programme.<br \/>\n\u201cWe will continue to work hand in hand with the bank as well as other stakeholders to encourage girls to remain in schools,\u201d Wedeing said.<br \/>\nStandard Bank Acting Chief Executive Officer, Temwani Simwaka, applauded the employees for excelling in their mentorship roles.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is, therefore, with a deep sense of both pride and gratitude that I stand here in honour of fellow bankers who took part in the programme.
