One of the players in the hospitality industry, Umodzi park, has registered a 30 percent increase in sales in the year 2017 coming from international conventions alone, the company\u2019s Sales and Marketing Manager, Temwa Kanjadza, has said.
\nKanjadza said this when the company recently hosted its customers to a bookers\u2019 night to appreciate their loyalty to the company the year.
\n\u201cWe just wanted to interact with our bookers who are our main stakeholders in terms of the business that comes to Umodzi Park and the relationship has been positive,\u201d Kanjadza said.
\n She described the year as wonderful for the company and the entire tourism industry, singling out international conferences that were held at the Bingu International Convention Centre that have significantly contributed to their success.
\n\u201cThe benefits did not only come to Umodzi Park alone but also other hospitality players operating in the city. We had an opportunity, as Malawi, to host international events, which was not the case in the past,\u201d Kanjadza added.
