Zimbambwe\u2019s musician, Jah Prayzah, will perform with a full band in the country and not a CD, organisers, Agulugufe Twelve Thousand, have said.
\nJah Prayzah will perform at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on December 23 and then Blantyre Sports Club on December 24.
\n\u201cJah Prayzah will be performing live with a full band,\u201d Emmanuel Maliro, one of the partners, said.
\nMaliro said the Zimbabwean musician has promised nothing but the best during the two shows.
\n\u201cWe have put these two shows because we want to give people maximum entertainment which they have not had for some time,\u201d he said.
\nThe two gigs will cost people K10,000 for standard tickets and K25,000 VIP.
\nMaliro also said that there will be maximum security during the two shows.
\n\u201cThese are family shows and this is why we are putting in place security measures so that people should not experience any difficulties on the day,\u201d Maliro said.
\nHe said the two shows were also part of giving people an early Christmas treat.
\nJah Prayzah will share the stage with Lulu and Lawi, who recently launched his latest album Sunset in the Sky and reggae group Black Missionaries.
\nBorn Mukudzeyi Mukombe, Jah Prayzah is a contemporary musician and lead member of the band Third Generation.
\nAccording to available information, Jah Prayzah is popularly referred to as Musoja, the Shona word for soldier.
\nThis is a name he earned mostly because of his signature band uniform of military regalia.
\nThe name Jah Prayzah comes from his name, Mukudzei, which means Praise Him.
