{"id":57411,"date":"2017-12-10T06:31:51","date_gmt":"2017-12-10T04:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=57411"},"modified":"2017-12-10T06:31:52","modified_gmt":"2017-12-10T04:31:52","slug":"wayas-fate-undecided","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/12\/10\/wayas-fate-undecided\/","title":{"rendered":"Waya\u2019s fate undecided"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uncertainty surrounds Mary Waya\u2019s future with the Malawi national netball team as Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) is yet to decide whether to continue with her as head coach.<br \/>\nWaya led the Queens at two major events, October\u2019s Fast 5 Netball World Series in Australia and at three test matches in England last month but has failed to win a match in nine competitive outings and one friendly game.<br \/>\nNam General Secretary, Carol Bapu, said it was too early to comment on Waya\u2019s future as the executive is yet to meet and strategise on the way forward.<br \/>\n\u201cWhen we meet and make a decision we will notify you,\u201d Bapu said.<br \/>\nWaya took over as the Queens\u2019 Head Coach after Sam Kanyenda withdrew his services following misunderstandings with Nam over the Mwawi Kumwenda saga in October.<br \/>\nKanyenda was displeased after Nam refused to recall Mwawi for the Fast 5 Netball World Series after being expelled due her late arrival in camp.<br \/>\nCurrently, Waya is being deputised by Civonets Coach, Whyte Mulilima, who led his charges to GOtv Netball Champions League glory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uncertainty surrounds Mary Waya\u2019s future with the Malawi national netball team as Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) is yet to decide whether to continue with her as head coach.
