\nGaba was deservedly named man-of-the-match following his superb displays during the game.
\nIt was an emotional return for the former Big Bullets forward who only completed his ban for spitting at Amazulu\u2019s Michael Morton in September a week ago.
\nIn an interview with Supersport.com after the game, Gaba said it felt great to return to the pitch after enduring a period of inactivity.
\nHe expressed hope that the cup success would help his team put its Absa Premier Soccer League title campaign back on track.
\n\u201cFirst of all, I want to thank God and my teammates. I was suspended for six games and for me to come back and be voted Man of the Match, it is no mean achievement. I couldn\u2019t have done it without the help of my teammates.
\n\u201cAs players, we enjoy winning trophies. Hopefully, this cup will give us the confidence to put our league title fight back on track. But, surely, this win will motivate us to continue fighting,\u201d the 25-year-old said.
\nWits Head Coach, Gavin Hunt, did not directly comment on Gaba\u2019s performance but praised the team\u2019s \u2018magnificent\u2019 defence for weathering down Celtic\u2019s attacks.
