Trail-blazing Times Television will sponsor, host and beam live a social football tournament\u2014the first social football event to be televised locally\u2014in Blantyre mid- December to celebrate the station\u2019s fourth anniversary.<\/p>\n
Times Group Chief Commercial Manager, Dumisani Ngulube, on Friday said they will host the tournament\u2014dubbed X4 (Times Four) Social Series\u2014to celebrate four years of existence and market leadership in the broadcasting industry.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to give social football a pump as it improves the physical and mental health of employees of different companies. We will be the first television [station] to cover social football live on television and radio. This will be an annual event. There are four teams that will participate [in the tournament],\u201d Ngulube said.<\/p>\n
He said each participating team will be required to field four senior managers during the games that will take place at a venue to be announced.<\/p>\n
