{"id":56722,"date":"2017-11-25T14:16:39","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T12:16:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=56722"},"modified":"2017-11-25T14:16:41","modified_gmt":"2017-11-25T12:16:41","slug":"work-hard-girls-told","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/11\/25\/work-hard-girls-told\/","title":{"rendered":"Work hard, girls told"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Female Police officers in Dedza, under the banner of Police Women Network (PWN), have encouraged Primary School girls in the district to strive for success at a tender age, for the betterment of their future.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing standard 5-8 pupils at Chipalukwa Primary School in Senior Chief Kamenyagwaza\u2019 s Area, Dedza Police Officer In-Charge Emmie Soko impressed upon the girls the need to concentrate on their studies since they are future leaders of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Soko also warned the girls to desist from premarital sex as that could end their dreams prematurely through early pregnancies, Sexually Transmitted Diseases like HIV\/ AIDS, Syphilis just to mention a few.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You must refrain from indulging in sexual relationships as you may contract the deadly HIV virus and unwanted pregnancies can deter you from realising your dreams&#8221;, Soko said.<\/p>\n<p>The women in uniform also took the opportunity to drill the pupils on how best they can overcome some challenges that include child labour and forced early marriages.<\/p>\n<p>The Dedza Police Women Network then donated notebooks and ball pens to the pupils that were in attendance, who were about 150.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Female Police officers in Dedza, under the banner of Police Women Network (PWN), have encouraged Primary School girls in the district to strive for success at a tender age, for the betterment of their future.
