{"id":56671,"date":"2017-11-24T10:49:47","date_gmt":"2017-11-24T08:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=56671"},"modified":"2017-11-24T10:49:48","modified_gmt":"2017-11-24T08:49:48","slug":"malawi-queens-suffer-joyce-mvula-blow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/11\/24\/malawi-queens-suffer-joyce-mvula-blow\/","title":{"rendered":"Malawi Queens suffer Joyce Mvula blow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester Thunder shooter, Joyce Mvula, has finally been ruled out of Malawi national netball team\u2019s three Test Series against England due to visa delay.<\/p>\n<p>Mvula has been replaced by Kukoma Diamonds\u2019 shooter Alinafe Kamwala who has joined the Queens\u2019 star Mwawi Kumwenda.<\/p>\n<p>Mvula and Netball Association of Malawi General Secretary, Carol Bapu, confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>The former Blue Eagles Sisters\u2019 player said she was sad to miss the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy work permit is not yet out so I won\u2019t make it. I would have loved to be part of the team but circumstances didn\u2019t allow. I wish my colleagues all the best during the games,\u201d Mvula said.<\/p>\n<p>Bapu, in a <em>WhatsApp <\/em>message, said they replaced Mvula with Kamwala after realising that her work permit would delay.<\/p>\n<p>Mwawi and Kamwala left Thursday for the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Bapu said they were keeping their fingers crossed on the availability of the pair for Friday night\u2019s first match, between Malawi and England, set for Copper Box Arena.<\/p>\n<p>The Queens\u2019 next game against England is scheduled for Sunday at the same venue, followed by the last match at Genting Arena in Birmingham.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester Thunder shooter, Joyce Mvula, has finally been ruled out of Malawi national netball team\u2019s three Test Series against England due to visa delay.
