Delisha Holdings on Monday presented air tickets to boxer Wilson Masamba and his trainer-brother, John, for their trip to Tanzania ahead of a non-title bout against Shomali Milundi scheduled for Saturday.<\/p>\n
Wilson and Milundi will square up in a main supporting bout.<\/p>\n
After presenting the tickets in Lilongwe, Delisha Holdings (Global Partners Group), Chief Executive Officer, John Milanzi, said Wilson was carrying Malawi\u2019s flag, hence their support.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is a good boxer and we believe that he will perform according to our expectations in Tanzania. We are committed to supporting boxers in the country,\u201d Milanzi said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me appeal to the private sector to support boxers so that they should realise their dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n
Heading into the bout, Masamba is confident in his performance, having defeated Zimbabwean, Lawrence Moyo, in Harare recently.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a morale booster for me. I want to assure Malawians that I will work hard. I have prepared well for the bout,\u201d said Wilson, who boasts of 29 victories and 10 losses in 39 bouts.<\/p>\n
John was also confident in the performance of his brother.<\/p>\n
