{"id":56395,"date":"2017-11-19T06:36:42","date_gmt":"2017-11-19T04:36:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=56395"},"modified":"2017-11-19T06:36:43","modified_gmt":"2017-11-19T04:36:43","slug":"waya-rings-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/11\/19\/waya-rings-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Waya rings changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Malawi national netball team\u2019s most experienced player, Caroline Ngwira, has been dropped from the squad which leaves today for England.<br \/>\nHead Coach Mary Waya announced the squad on Friday which included controversial Melbourne Vixens shooter Mwawi Kumwenda.<br \/>\nNgwira, who has been a regular for the Queens since 2007, was dropped alongside Diamonds teammates Alinafe Kamwala, Grace Chazungulira, Shira Kapasula Dimba, Thunder Queens\u2019 centre Pilirani Msukwa and Fanny Mwale of Mafco,<br \/>\nNotable inclusions in the squad are Wezzie Mzemba- Msiska of Kukoma Diamonds, Juliet Sambo of Blue Eagles Sisters and Civonets\u2019 centre Rose Mkanda.<br \/>\nThe trio was part of the team that was camping for the Fast 5 Netball World Series but was left out.<br \/>\nMalawi\u2019s second professional, Joyce Mvula of Manchester Thunder, is also part of the squad.<br \/>\nWaya\u2019s assistant, Whyte Mulilima, said the squad was picked mainly based on agility, reaction, speed and endurance.<br \/>\n\u201cThe level of competition was so stiff. As a technical panel, we believe these players will do the job for us in England,\u201d Mulilima said.<br \/>\nCommenting on Ngwira, who lost the armband after giving birth to her second child, Mulilima said the door was still open for her.<br \/>\n\u201cShe just needs to work on her speed. She is a bit overweight.
