Chitipa United Coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, said his side would die fighting in the TNM Super League.<\/p>\n
After losing 3-0 and 4-2 to Silver Strikers and Kamuzu Barracks, respectively, last week, Chitipa are on the brink of relegation, with a mere maximum points tally of 25 points, if they win the remaining three games.<\/p>\n
Things are not looking good for Chitipa, who have conceded 52 goals while scoring 19.<\/p>\n
Chitipa can go down Saturday if Red Lions\u2014currently occupying the final survival spot with 24 points\u2013overcome Premier Bet Wizards at Chilomoni Stadium.<\/p>\n
Mwalweni admitted that surviving relegation is now an impossible mission for his charges.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the teams in the bottom-three, including mine, have been finding it difficult to get [maximum] points. Competition is very high and whoever survives, should just consider themselves lucky.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been lacking depth in the squad. If you have been observing, we usually get tired towards the end [of every game] \u2013losing concentration in the process,\u201d Mwalweni said.<\/p>\n
Chitipa wind up the season against Wizards at home, Mzuni and Red Lions away.<\/p>\n
Mzuzu-based soccer analyst, Eston Mwafulirwa, observed that the 2016 Simama Premier Division champions are in this precarious situation because they made three big mistakes.<\/p>\n
