Gwamba continues to collaborate with different artists in his music career, as the artist has featured Wendy Harawa in his latest song \u2018My Jesus Is Special\u2019.<\/p>\n
The rapper, who has received four nominations\u2014 Best Gospel Artist, Best Live Act, Collabo of the Year and Album of the Year\u2014 in this year\u2019s Urban Music People Awards, said Wednesday he was happy to have finally worked with the dancehall queen and dancer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWendy is one of my Malawian inspirations and I have grown up listening to her music. Working with her is a huge pleasure,\u201d Gwamba, real name, Duncan Zgambo, said.<\/p>\n
Apart from Wendy, the song also features Emmanuel.<\/p>\n
In the song, Gwamba sings of the journey he has travelled, saying he has come from afar but God has been there for him.<\/p>\n
Just as has been the case in some of his songs, Gwamba stands out as he raps, declaring that all his downs are over.<\/p>\n
He sings that life has not been easy and that he is alive today by God\u2019s grace.<\/p>\n
Gwamba says being alive is something to praise God for, remembering some of his friends, who have passed on, among them Mafunyeta.<\/p>\n
Wendy also comes out to show her swag in the song.<\/p>\n
Gwamba was clever enough to bring in Wendy in the song and the songstress has breathed fresh air into the track although she still needs to come out more.<\/p>\n
The message in the song is also mature.<\/p>\n
This is Gwamba\u2019s second single after \u2018Mapiko\u2019, which features Kell Kay.<\/p>\n
Just like \u2018Mapiko\u2019, Gwamba\u2019s \u2018My Jesus Is Special\u2019 was produced by BFB.<\/p>\n
Wendy also said she was happy to have worked with Gwamba in what she described as a new challenge.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a new challenge but I loved the way we went about the business. I am looking forward to more of this,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The female singer, who has braved the tides in secular music, early this year launched her fourth album Nalliah, after being out of the limelight for some time.<\/p>\n
Gwamba has since said the singles he is dropping are part of his incoming album which he is yet to name.<\/p>\n
