{"id":56083,"date":"2017-11-13T10:58:31","date_gmt":"2017-11-13T08:58:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=56083"},"modified":"2017-11-13T10:58:32","modified_gmt":"2017-11-13T08:58:32","slug":"nissan-unveils-new-navara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/11\/13\/nissan-unveils-new-navara\/","title":{"rendered":"Nissan unveils new Navara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nissan Malawi on Thursday unveiled the all-new Nissan Navara which merges the rugged strength of a bakkie with the comfort of a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) to create a new kind of beast which is the best of both worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Nissan Malawi Managing Director, Jabulani Ndabambi, said, with a ground breaking 5-link coil rear suspension system, the Navara redefines ride comfort and handling both on and off-road.<\/p>\n<p>Ndabambi said a powerful engine, coupled with the smoothness of an optional 7-speed automatic transmission, redefines the drivetrain for a more efficient and responsive drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven with a premium leather-clad cabin, the Navara loses none of its rugged credentials. Get behind the wheel and feel what it means to be rugged, redefined,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nissan Market Development Manager for sub-Saharan Africa, Grant Scott, said the Nissan Navara shows how power, acceleration and fuel efficiency cannot only coexist but thrive.<\/p>\n<p>He said class-leading fuel efficiency is achieved by using low friction components, reduced mass, wide range gear transmissions and enhanced aerodynamics.<\/p>\n<p>Grant expressed confidence that the new Navara would help his firm grow its market share, currently at 18 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are confident that the new Navara will bring a completely new driving experience to Malawians,\u201d Scott said.<\/p>\n<p>Blantyre City Mayor, Wild Ndipo, hailed Nissan for contributing to the growth of the local economy through job creation.<\/p>\n<p>Ndipo expressed hope that the firm would continue to grow so that it can continue employing Malawians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nissan Malawi on Thursday unveiled the all-new Nissan Navara which merges the rugged strength of a bakkie with the comfort of a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) to create a new kind of beast which is the best of both worlds.
