The top-flight Chinese side, whose recent big signings include Norwegian veteran Isabell Herlovsen, finished third in the just-ended 2017 CWSL season,\u201d <em>JWSports1.com <\/em>indicates.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the former DD Sunshine striker was also nominated for the Best Forward and Most Valuable Player awards in the Sweden league.<\/p>\n<p>Chawinga finished as the league\u2019s top goal scorer with 24 goals, 10 goals more than second top scorer Ella Masar.<\/p>\n<p>The website added that several European clubs were interested in signing Chawinga, but she opted for China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the expiration date of her contract at Kvarnsveden fast approaching, the club extended her contract till November 2018. The new contract had a release clause, though, which allowed Chawinga to leave in case Kvarnsveden got relegated,\u201d the website adds.<\/p>\n<p>Kvarnsveden Chairperson, Olle Davidsson, confirmed to the website to have received bids from numerous clubs but refused to comment on the transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Chawinga\u2019s sister, Temwa is still with the Swedish team after signing a two-year contract last month.<\/p>\n<p>National Women Football Association Chairperson, Severia Chalira, described Chawinga\u2019s move as a great achievement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is good for her, especially now that her team has been relegated. A player of her calibre does not deserve to play in the lower leagues.
