Banned for six games in South Africa, striker Gabadinho Mhango reported for Malawi national football team camp training Monday with plenty of lessons to share with fellow footballers.<\/p>\n
Mhango advised fellow footballers to avoid committing a similar offence after he was banned for spitting at AmaZulu defender Michael Morton in September.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me advise players that they should never do it. I regret doing it,\u201d the former Nyasa Big Bullets star said in Lilongwe upon arrival alongside Robin Ngalande, Robert Ng\u2019ambi, Atusaye Nyondo and Gerald Phiri Junior.<\/p>\n
The Bidvest Wits star (Mhango) said the Flames\u2019 match against Lesotho at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday was a perfect opportunity for him to keep himself fit.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am training with my team-mates in South Africa. I would like to thank the coaches for considering me for national team duty,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Ngalande and Nyondo also spoke about their recall to the Flames.<\/p>\n
Nyondo, who has netted a single goal for Blomfontein Celtic in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) this season, is returning to the national team fold after a two-year absence.<\/p>\n
Nyondo said he was ready to play for his country.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is good to be back to the Flames. I cannot be under pressure at this age. I watched the game against Comoros Islands and the team is good,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Ngalande, who is yet to score for Baroka FC, said he was not under pressure to deliver.<\/p>\n
\u201cI used to feel pressure when I was 17 but now I have been in the game for a long time. I have nothing to prove and I am here to work for the national team. I think we will get positive results,\u201d Ngalande said.<\/p>\n
Mozambique-based Chawanangwa Kawonga, Schumacher Kuwali and John Banda also are in camp whereas winger Dalitso Sailesi from Zambia\u2019s Lusaka Dynamos and Captain, Limbikani Mzava (South Africa\u2019s Golden Arrows) are expected to jet in today.<\/p>\n
Mozambique-based goalkeeper Charles Swini is expected to arrive tomorrow.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Lesotho\u2019s Likuena have named a strong squad to face the Flames.<\/p>\n
According to Sunday Express <\/em>of Lesotho, Likuena will play another strength-testing match against Zimbabwe Wednesday before facing the Flames.<\/p>\n Likuena have received a huge boost after LMPS defender Nkau Lerotholi and Kick4life midfielder Ralekoti Mokhahlane returned to the squad. Nkoto Masoabi has also returned to the team from injury.<\/p>\n Malawi and Lesotho are warming up for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
