TNM, through its mobile money service, Mpamba, has come to the rescue of Thambe Primary School by building a teachers\u2019 office worth K8 million.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the handover ceremony, TNM Mpamba Trust Fund Board Member, Reverend Zacc Kawalala, said the building demonstrates the company\u2019s commitment to supporting the government efforts in uplifting standards of education in the country through the provision of good learning and teaching environment.<\/p>\n
\u201cTNM believes education holds the key to social and economic transformation of any country. Worldwide, the most powerful nations on earth owe their success to a solid foundation in education and this project demonstrates our passion in uplifting education standards,\u201d Kawalala said.<\/p>\n
Kawalala reaffirmed TNM\u2019s commitment to quality education, especially in rural areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cTNM continues to take a lead in responding to the needs of its operating environment. We believe that education unravels an individual\u2019s and, ultimately, a nation\u2019s potential and that is why, over the years, TNM has been a sincere partner in Malawi\u2019s development efforts by working with the government and other partners to deliver quality education,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Thambe has an enrollment capacity of 1,000 pupils.<\/p>\n
Other education facilities that have benefited from Mpamba Trust Fund this year include SOS Primary School in Machinjiri and Blantyre Teachers Training College.<\/p>\n
