{"id":54511,"date":"2017-10-04T08:45:24","date_gmt":"2017-10-04T06:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=54511"},"modified":"2017-10-04T08:45:24","modified_gmt":"2017-10-04T06:45:24","slug":"trevor-kajawa-sacked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/10\/04\/trevor-kajawa-sacked\/","title":{"rendered":"Trevor Kajawa sacked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>P<\/strong>remier Bet Wizards have fired Coach, Trevor Kajawa, following the teams\u2019 poor run of form in the TNM Super League.<\/p>\n<p>Wizards, who are on position 12 with 19 points from 19 games on the log table, have lost five games in the league\u2019s second-round.<\/p>\n<p>Kajawa and Wizards\u2019 Technical Director, Peter Mponda, confirmed the development Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThings are not working and we have decided to make some changes in a bid to address the situation. Signs started appearing towards the end of the first-round. In short, we have played 10 games and lost all but one which we drew,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mponda could neither confirm nor deny that he would be in charge of the team in the interim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the meantime, we will ask the authorities to give us time to get a coach with a minimum qualification [of Caf B-Licence] as required. We also have Simeon Kapuza, who is our goalkeepers\u2019 trainer and he is also a good coach. So, in Kajawa\u2019s absence, we are covered,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kajawa said he was not bitter with the axing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand the decision and I wish the team well. Of course, there are several factors that help a team to do well and there are factors that also contribute to poor performance.
