{"id":54306,"date":"2017-09-29T08:58:04","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T06:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=54306"},"modified":"2017-09-29T08:58:08","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T06:58:08","slug":"sipho-makhabane-in-town-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/09\/29\/sipho-makhabane-in-town-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sipho Makhabane in town"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>S<\/strong>outh Africa\u2019s veteran musician, Sipho \u2018Big Fish\u2019 Makhabane, jetted into the country on Wednesday through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe ahead of a performance at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Over and Over\u2019 star will perform live with his band, spicing up the Great Angels Choir\u2019s website celebration launch.<\/p>\n<p>Great Angels Choir\u2019s Music Director, Ephraim Zonda, said yesterday that they were excited that Sipho was finally here with his band.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs he promised, he is finally here with his band and we are happy. A lot of people actually came to the airport to see him and the band and even Musicians Union of Malawi President, Reverend Chimwemwe Mhango, was there,\u201d Zonda said.<\/p>\n<p>Zonda said, from the airport, they took Sipho around some townships before holding a press conference and later unveiling the website to the corporate world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thought it wise to show the website to the corporate world and it was a successful event. Now we are looking forward to the main event on Friday (today), where we will perform for close to two hours and then Sipho. There will also be another surprise performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Zonda also said that there will also be a performance from the Army Brass Band.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking forward to the best and everything is in place. We will also launch the website because, on Wednesday, we were doing it with the corporate world. We will also be shooting a live DVD,\u201d Zonda said.<\/p>\n<p>He called on people to come in large numbers and be part of the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis website is very important because people will have a chance to buy our songs online but also get to learn more about Great Angels.
