{"id":53896,"date":"2017-09-21T09:07:07","date_gmt":"2017-09-21T07:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=53896"},"modified":"2017-09-21T09:07:08","modified_gmt":"2017-09-21T07:07:08","slug":"boxer-nigeria-bound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/09\/21\/boxer-nigeria-bound\/","title":{"rendered":"Boxer Nigeria-bound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>B<\/strong>lossoming local lightweight boxer, Israel Kam\u2019mwamba, is expected to fight Otto Joseph in Nigeria on October 8.<\/p>\n<p>Kam\u2019mwamba\u2019s Manager, Craig Rousseau, said the 23-year-old boxer was scheduled to take on Joseph in a 10-round Commonwealth title fight at National Indoor Surulere Stadium in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Rousseau, who heads No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions of Blantyre, said their partners, Delta Force Boxing Academy of Zimbabwe, have facilitated the fight.<\/p>\n<p>Kam\u2019mwamba said he had stepped up training ahead of the fight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just need to adjust my training routine and study my opponent [through video clips],\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kam\u2019mwamba has, in his professional career, registered eight wins, including five knockouts, and a draw.<\/p>\n<p>Zimbabwean trainer, Clyde Musonda, who runs Delta Force Boxing Academy, will travel with Kam\u2019mwamba to Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>boxrec.com<\/em>, Joseph has, in the professional ranks, won all eight fights, including four by knockouts.<\/p>\n<p>The Nigerian is also the lightweight champion for West African Boxing Union following his victory over Ayittey Mettle earlier this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blossoming local lightweight boxer, Israel Kam\u2019mwamba, is expected to fight Otto Joseph in Nigeria on October 8.
