{"id":53531,"date":"2017-09-15T09:38:48","date_gmt":"2017-09-15T07:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=53531"},"modified":"2017-09-15T09:38:51","modified_gmt":"2017-09-15T07:38:51","slug":"be-forward-wanderers-u-20-revenge-for-seniors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/09\/15\/be-forward-wanderers-u-20-revenge-for-seniors\/","title":{"rendered":"Be Forward Wanderers U-20 revenge for seniors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>B<\/strong>arely four days after their elder brothers surrendered the Carlsberg Cup to Nyasa Big Bullets, Be Forward Wanderers Under-20 took it upon themselves to revenge for their seniors.<\/p>\n<p>Wanderers Under-20 defeated convincingly Bullets Under-20 3-1 in a Blantyre District FMB Youth Football League match at Chiwembe Ground on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The league\u2019s Fixtures\u2019 Secretary, Joseph Semu, said the rivalry between the two clubs was also strong at the junior level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth teams might not be doing well in the league, but whenever they meet, there is always an explosion due to the rivalry of their senior teams,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the youth league, Wanderers are on fourth position with 37 points from 20 games whereas Bullets have 22 points from 19 games and they are on position 11.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Griffin Young Stars, Kangaroo Academy and Maggie Chombo Academy are hot title contenders for the league.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin defeated Cass Pirates 3-1 on Wednesday at BYC to collect 50 points from 20 games.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin have maintained their five-point gap over second-placed Maggie Chombo, who defeated Lyzee United 4-2.<\/p>\n<p>Chombo have 45 points from 20 games.<\/p>\n<p>Third-placed Kangaroo Academy, under the guidance of former Flames team manager and defender, Clement Kafwafwa, also kept their silverware dreams alive with a 4-1 win over Kings Youth.<\/p>\n<p>In other results, Blantyre United Youth defeated Namiwawa FC 1-0 whereas Uwe kicks baptised Tigers Under-20, 8-1.<\/p>\n<p>Ndirande Stars went down 1-2 to Future Stars whereas Mtopwa Super Boys beat Wizards Youth 3-0.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Barely four days after their elder brothers surrendered the Carlsberg Cup to Nyasa Big Bullets, Be Forward Wanderers Under-20 took it upon themselves to revenge for their seniors.
