{"id":53466,"date":"2017-09-14T08:58:27","date_gmt":"2017-09-14T06:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=53466"},"modified":"2017-09-14T08:58:27","modified_gmt":"2017-09-14T06:58:27","slug":"bravehearts-sign-zimbabweans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/09\/14\/bravehearts-sign-zimbabweans\/","title":{"rendered":"Bravehearts sign Zimbabweans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>C<\/strong>entral Zone Basketball League (Cezobal) giants, Bravehearts have bolstered their squad by signing two Zimbabwean players.<\/p>\n<p>Bravehearts patron, Griffin Kalua, confirmed the signing of former Harare City Hornets player, Wishes Kakomo, and Tinotenda Nhira, formerly of Foxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe two players have come to study in Malawi, so we offered them a chance to play for our team and they accepted,\u201d Kalua said.<\/p>\n<p>Basketball Union of Zimbabwe (BUZ) has cleared the two players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBravehearts Basketball Club has given both players full college scholarship in addition to the club allowances as set by the club,\u201d reads part of the letter from BUZ President, Addison Chiware.<\/p>\n<p>Kakomo on Tuesday promised to display good basketball.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasketball in Zimbabwe is advanced compared to Malawi. I promise I will help the team to fight for the league championship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The two players started training with Bravehearts last month. Bravehearts lead the log table with 28 points from 14 games, followed by Mimbulu on 24 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the ladies\u2019 category, Lady Dynamites top the standings with 27 points from 14 games whereas Bravehearts Ladies and Angels are on second and third positions with 25 points and 19 points, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Central Zone Basketball League (Cezobal) giants, Bravehearts have bolstered their squad by signing two Zimbabwean players.
