Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, who is at the hub of buying players for the South African football giants, is visiting Malawi as Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 guest.<\/p>\n
Wanderers\u2019 General Secretary, Mike Butao, Friday confirmed Motaung\u2019s visit.<\/p>\n
\u201cMotaung is here in the country as Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 visitor. He flew into the country yesterday [Thursday] and he is here up to Sunday,\u201d Butao said.<\/p>\n
The South African is expected to watch the Carlsberg Cup final involving Bullets and Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium this afternoon.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest the Chiefs\u2019 boss is on a scouting mission for a striker. However, the transfer window in South Africa closed on August 31 and it will re-open in January.<\/p>\n
Last week, Citizen newspaper of South Africa quoted Motaung as saying they would still continue hunting for a striker.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur search for a formidable striker does not end with the window period closure\u2014we will cast our net far and wide and will not stop searching until we find our man,\u201d Motaung told the newspaper.<\/p>\n
In Wanderers\u2019 camp, players with the quality to play for Chiefs are defenders Stanley Sanudi, Harry Nyirenda, Francis Mlimbika and Lucky Malata, strikers Precious Msosa and Peter Wadabwa, midfielders Alfred Manyozo (who is suspended for the match), Isaac Kaliyati and Yamikani Chester.<\/p>\n
In Bullets\u2019 camp, the likes of goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe, Mike Mkwate, John Lanjesi, Miracle Gabeya (who had unsuccessful trials with Chiefs last year), Nelson Kangunje and Chimango Kayira can play for Chiefs.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, Motaung visited Wanderers training session at African Bible College in Lilongwe where he, among others, had a chat with the Nomads\u2019 Technical Director, Jack Chamangwana, a former Chiefs captain and caretaker coach.<\/p>\n
