{"id":52770,"date":"2017-09-01T09:37:23","date_gmt":"2017-09-01T07:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=52770"},"modified":"2017-09-01T09:37:24","modified_gmt":"2017-09-01T07:37:24","slug":"foreign-based-stars-in-morocco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/09\/01\/foreign-based-stars-in-morocco\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign-based stars in Morocco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>M<\/strong>alawi National Football Team\u2019s foreign-based legion finally joined their colleagues in the Moroccan city of Agadir Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The players checked in at Anezi Hotel after completing an exhausting 17-hour flight.<\/p>\n<p>The players travelled by road from Casablanca to Agadir, which is about 430 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>The Flames Coach, Ronny van Geneugden, said he will have two training sessions instead of one.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Limbikani Mzava, Robert N\u2019gambi, Richard Mbulu, Dalitso Sailesi, Frank Banda, Charles Swini, Gerald Phiri junior and Gabadinho Mhango joined the squad in Agadir.<\/p>\n<p>Ngambi said training twice will help them shed off fatigue ahead of the encounter against Morocco Under-23 Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The hosts will feature a Chan [African Nations Championship] squad since the main team will play in a World Cup qualifier also Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Van Geneugden said inconveniences in flight arrangements should give Football Association of Malawi (Fam) a lesson ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>The Flames will travel to Morocco next year as they are in the same Afcon qualifying group B, alongside Comoros Islands and Cameroon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been done by Morocco but Fam needs to do better when we play them,\u201d the coach said.<\/p>\n<p>The players travelled in three groups.
