Gospel singer Phalyce Malick Mang\u2019anda is gearing up for her third album Mangani Malamba <\/em>launch, to be held at Robins Park in Blantyre on November 5.<\/p>\n

Mang\u2019anda said yesterday that she is promoting the songs ahead of the launch.<\/p>\n

By the time we hit October, people will have sampled some of the songs on promotion. I am optimistic that people will love the songs,\u201d Mang\u2019anda said.<\/p>\n

With several artists penetrating the gospel market, Mang\u2019anda said she has taken her time working on the third album.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feedback I have started getting is very positive and this gives me a goal picture that I have done well on the album,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The singer\u2019s career started way back when she used to star in a choir.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy experience comes from a choir. I used to perform in a choir at Full Gospel Church in Chilobwe, Blantyre. Actually, I started, together with late Grace Chinga,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Mang\u2019anda said they went on to, establish their own choir before she went solo.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been a long journey working on the third album and this is because of inadequate funds,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The 12-track album was recorded at Groove Magic Studios in Blantyre by Joseph Tembo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe message in the album is basically about encouraging people to remain faithful but also to encourage those who have lost hope to look up to God,\u201d Mang\u2019anda said.<\/p>\n

She said as, she was not there to entertain only but also minister the word of God.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am ministering the word of God through music but, again, that does not entail that I should compromise on the quality of music. I have worked hard and that is why I have used an experienced producer,\u201d Mang\u2019anda said.<\/p>\n

Some of the songs in the third album are \u2018Thanthwe\u2019, \u2018Nenani Zikomo\u2019, \u2018Yehova Sagona\u2019, \u2018Ndiri Ndi Mantha\u2019, \u2018Wakwiyiranji Kaini\u2019 and \u2018Yamba Ndiwe\u2019.<\/p>\n

Mang\u2019anda also said she has finalised the DVD for the third album, adding that she will have a double launch of a CD and DVD.<\/p>\n

Her previous albums are Ndaomboledwa <\/em>and Eloi<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
