We need almost K5 billion to implement them but, instead, we get the money in phases which slows down our progress,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In her speech, minister responsible, Cecilia Chazama, reaffirmed government\u2019s commitment to supporting artists in the country.<\/p>\n<p>She further acknowledged that artists face financial challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is for this cause that Waluso-Sacco has been introduced so that artists are able to access loans which will help them to have easy access to funds when the need arises,\u201d Chazama said.<\/p>\n<p>Integrated Arts Development was established in 2015, with the aim of developing the capacity of filmmakers, musicians, heritage foundations and museums.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) Board Chairperson, Charles Sinetre, has said the institution is failing to implement projects due to lack of resources.
