He received a trophy and a bicycle.

Angelo Ali, playing off handicap 24, ended on third position with 38 points. He received a driver and a trophy.

Araujo said it was not surprising that he won the tournament.

“It is not by fluke that I have won. I am playing well and I have been consistent. I won Nico General Tournament in Nchalo and I also performed well in Mzuzu. In the ongoing TNM Match-play, I have also reached the semi-finals. This proves that I am consistent,” he said.

In the individual men’s category, Frank Jomo won the nearest to the pin on hole 10.

In the ladies’ section, Karuku was simply unplayable as she dominated the competition.

Despite dropping from handicap 15 to 17, Karuku won the ladies’ section with 36 points. It is a product that we are proud of as a bank. It is a card that offers convenience. It also offers up to 45 days interest-free credit. It also affords ready encashment if somebody has an emergency of some sort and they don’t have to make further application for a loan,” Kawawa said.

Imperious Rui Araujo and Connie Karuku displayed outstanding golfing skills to win National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Golf Tournament at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) on Saturday.
