Kamuzu Barracks (KB) Assistant Coach, Ted Kalinda, has said the TNM Super League defending champions are just going through a bad patch and players should not be faulted for the dip in form.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot force players to quit playing. If they are still playing, it means they are fit. These are the same players who helped the team win the league title. I cannot say what the problem is but we will keep on working hard so that we should start getting results,\u201d said Kalinda after KB\u2019s surprise 3-0 loss to bottom-placed Dwangwa United on Saturday.<\/p>\n
During the game, KB still relied on players such as Harvey Nkacha, Davie Banda, World Nkuliwa, Joel Chipofya and Mustapha Salim, who struggled to contain the youthful Dwangwa.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa scored through Jack Chiona and Hassan Upindi\u2019s brace to hand the soldiers the shock defeat on the venue they were crowned champions last year.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa Team Manager, Davie Mwandira, whose team wound up its first round assignments, said the win will boost their morale.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe told the players that a win is possible in this game and they had self-belief. We started the league with a win and to finish with a win is great news.
