Malawi Professional Boxing Control Board (MPBCB) President, Lonzoe Zimba, has been invited to the World Boxing Council\u2019s (WBC) 55th Annual World Convention in Baku, Azerbaijan from October 1 to 6.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing yourself an active member of the World Boxing Council, and since this convention will deal with an important number of matters for the benefit of boxing in your country, as well as in the world, your attendance is very important.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease make your best effort to be there, participate and be part of the world to keep our WBC as strong and important as always,\u201d reads part of a letter, dated July 25 2017, from WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman, to MPBCB.<\/p>\n
MPBCB Vice-General Secretary, Mbachichi Nyirenda, confirmed receiving the invitation.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of issues that have happened in Malawi have somehow affected things on the international scene. I assume that the WBC President wants to clear some things that haunted Malawi recently,\u201d he said without elaborating.<\/p>\n
