{"id":51453,"date":"2017-08-09T11:05:21","date_gmt":"2017-08-09T09:05:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=51453"},"modified":"2017-08-09T11:05:22","modified_gmt":"2017-08-09T09:05:22","slug":"michiru-madrid-seek-sponsorship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/08\/09\/michiru-madrid-seek-sponsorship\/","title":{"rendered":"Michiru Madrid seek sponsorship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>S<\/strong>outhern Region Premier Division side, Michiru Madrid, have called for financial support ahead of their Carlsberg Cup quarter-final match against Moyale Barracks in Mzuzu on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Madrid came from behind to beat Super League side, Chitipa United, 3-2 at Chilomoni Stadium on Friday to book the last-eight slot.<\/p>\n<p>Edwin Carlos and Charles Chipala (a brace) scored for Madrid whereas Wacheta Mwenefumbo and Mwango Phiri were on target for Chitipa.<\/p>\n<p>Madrid patron, Sam Mangansanja, said they were crippled financially.<\/p>\n<p>He said when they registered for the competition, they did not expect to progress this far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking for any support from the corporate world to enable us to travel to Mzuzu and play against Moyale Barracks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a small team with talented players and that is why we have reached this stage.
