{"id":5142,"date":"2015-06-30T10:20:25","date_gmt":"2015-06-30T10:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=5142"},"modified":"2015-06-30T10:20:25","modified_gmt":"2015-06-30T10:20:25","slug":"osward-lutepo-declares-assets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/06\/30\/osward-lutepo-declares-assets\/","title":{"rendered":"Osward Lutepo declares assets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Convicted chief player in the looting of public funds popularly known as cashgate, Osward Lutepo, has finally declared his assets to the Ministry of Justice, both the ministry\u2019s spokesperson and the convict\u2019s lawyer have confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>In a response to a questionnaire, Justice spokesperson Apoche Itimu told <em>The Daily Times <\/em>that they were served with a document containing Lutepo\u2019s assets on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease, be advised that we were only served with a document at around 11 o\u2019clock,\u201d reads Itimu\u2019s response.<\/p>\n<p>Lutepo\u2019s lawyer Oswald Mtupila also confirmed the development in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe submitted the document during working hours on Thursday,\u201d Mtupila said.<\/p>\n<p>Both Itimu and Mtupila could not take further questions related to the disclosure.<\/p>\n<p>Judiciary spokesperson, Mlenga Mvula, said the public should be patient until passing of the judgement.<\/p>\n<p>Lutepo, 37, was convicted of laundering approximately K4.2 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Convicted chief player in the looting of public funds popularly known as cashgate, Osward Lutepo, has finally declared his assets to the Ministry of Justice, both the ministry\u2019s spokesperson and the convict\u2019s lawyer have confirmed.
