The Ministry of Education has said it appreciates the role Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar) is playing in the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n
Deputy Minister of Education, Vincent Ghambi, said this in Lilongwe on Friday during a farewell dinner for final-year students at the University.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis university can be relied upon. It produces agricultural experts who can drive the country\u2019s economy. The university is providing quality and relevant education. At the moment, its graduates are spread across the country in all sectors of the economy,\u201d Ghambi said.<\/p>\n
He then urged the students to continue living up to the expectations of Malawians.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose who finished their studies before you have set very high standards. The country expects you to at least match those standards, or even go beyond those set standards,\u201d Ghambi said.<\/p>\n
Luanar Deputy Vice- Chancellor professor Emmanuel Kaunda said the students are ready to help the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese students have acquired relevant skills and knowledge that will help in the development of this country. They are ready to serve Malawi,\u201d Kaunda said.<\/p>\n
A representative of the students, Emmanuel Mambiya, said they will work hard to maintain the good reputation Luanar and Bunda College students have built.<\/p>\n
