Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 dominance of the TNM Super League log table has ignited championship talk among their supporters.<\/p>\n
But Wanderers Coach, Yasin Osman, wants the players and the fans to manage the expectations and avoid complacency.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend, the Nomads beat Chitipa United 2-1 on Saturday and Blue Eagles 1-0 the following day. Both games took place at Balaka Stadium.<\/p>\n
In a post-match interview after the Eagles\u2019 game, Osman said he had noted complacency among the players.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe players and the supporters are determined to have the league trophy in our cabinet. However, it is too early to start celebrating the championship after creating a seven-point gap.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe battle is still on. This gap should just encourage the boys to work harder and not to relax. We still have more tough games ahead. They [players] look over-confident, which is bad,\u201d Osman said.<\/p>\n
During the match, the Nomads midfielder Alfred Manyozo junior had his spot-kick saved by Eagles\u2019 goalkeeper John Soko.<\/p>\n
Injuries have also hit Wanderers\u2019 camp with defenders Harry Nyirenda and Francis Mlimbika joining Peter Wadabwa, Ishmael Thindwa and Amos Bello on the treatment table.<\/p>\n
This forced Osman to use Foster Namwera and Ted Sumani as the duo\u2019s replacements with Jafali Chande and Precious Msosa playing in front.<\/p>\n
Msosa scored for the Nomads during the match against Eagles.<\/p>\n
