Sena Jive star Stanley Nyandoro Mthenga said on Thursday that he was still active with music despite being silent.<\/p>\n
Mthenga revealed that he has compiled a collection of Best of Nyandoro Mthenga <\/em>to be on the market later this year.<\/p>\n \u201cI am still in music and active although I have been silent. People should look forward to the Best of Nyandoro Mthenga. I also have a new album which is not titled yet but will be released if all goes according to plan during the Mgumano Wa A Sena <\/em>and A Mang\u2019anja <\/em>launch,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mthenga said he is not in a hurry as he would want to give people good music that has an identity.<\/p>\n The new album will be his sixth. His previous five albums are Crocodile Tears <\/em>which had the hit Binji Na Mkazache, Ndilemejembo, Mtchona <\/em>which had the song \u2018Sena Jive\u2019, Wako Ndi Wako <\/em>and No Name. <\/em><\/p>\n With youthful artists taking over the proceedings on the market, many musicians of the older generation have failed to stand out.<\/p>\n Meanwhile Mthenga has said in order to promote their culture in the Lower Shire, they will launch a festival on September 30 at Paramount Chief Lundu\u2019s Headquarters in Chikwawa.<\/p>\n \u201cThis will be an annual festival just like our friends have done. On the same day we will also launch the Mgumano wa A Sena ndi A Mang\u2019anja,\u201d <\/em>said Mthenga, who is the spokesperson of the grouping.<\/p>\n He said during the festival and the launch of the grouping people will be treated to among others traditional dances citing among others Utse, Ulimba, Maseseto and Gule Wamkulu.<\/p>\n \u201cThe aim of this grouping is to promote and preserve culture. On the day people will also have a chance to watch music performances from among others Joseph Tembo, Agorosso, Lucky Stars Band, Miracle Chinga Moffat and Khwathwa Aligiza,\u201d Mthenga said.<\/p>\n He said that the chairperson of the grouping is Eric Trinta while Paramount Chief Lundu is the patron while the board chairperson is Owen Chomanika.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Sena Jive star Stanley Nyandoro Mthenga said on Thursday that he was still active with music despite being silent.
