{"id":49806,"date":"2017-07-07T10:59:03","date_gmt":"2017-07-07T08:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=49806"},"modified":"2017-07-07T11:04:47","modified_gmt":"2017-07-07T09:04:47","slug":"all-set-for-lilongwe-poetry-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/07\/07\/all-set-for-lilongwe-poetry-show\/","title":{"rendered":"All set for Lilongwe poetry show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AFTER two years of waiting, poets converge in Lilongwe on Sunday for what has been dubbed \u2018Mlakatuli Feast\u2019, an annual event organised by Channel for all Nations Radio and Television.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the event did not take place due to what Channel for all Nations radio and Television \u2018Mlakatuli\u2019 programme host, Chris Loka, described as unforeseen circumstances. Loka said in an interview that all is set for the event, which will take place at Sheaffer ICA Marque in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are back in full force and people should expect nothing but the best poetry feast,\u201d Loka said Loka added that organisers would continue to give budding poets the platform to showcase their talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Christians, we would like to motivate and encourage poets to use their talent in spreading the word of God,\u201d Loka said.<\/p>\n<p>He said poets such as Raphael Sitima, Samuel Joseph, Joseph Madzedze, Hudson Chamasowa, Yohane Kachere, Kenneth Khondiwa, Mlakatuli Wachibwibwi and Mlakatuli Thomas have confirmed their availability at the event.<\/p>\n<p>The list will also include Atcheya, Mr Malawi, Aunt Gate and Mr India while Madalitso Band is set to entertain patrons through music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFTER two years of waiting, poets converge in Lilongwe on Sunday for what has been dubbed \u2018Mlakatuli Feast\u2019, an annual event organised by Channel for all Nations Radio and Television.
