As part of its commitment to make banking more accessible to all Malawians, Nedbank has opened two new branches, one in Mangochi and the other in Kasungu.<\/p>\n
This comes barely a few weeks after the bank successfully implemented a new core banking system (Flexcube) and upgraded its internet banking platform.<\/p>\n
Paul Guta, Nedbank Managing Director, said the bank\u2019s intention is to serve the personal and business banking needs of its new and existing clients.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted to bring these two new branches to our customers in Kasungu and Mangochi. Mangochi and Kasungu are areas of vibrant economic activity as such; we believe, our presence will go a long way in enabling greater financial inclusion while contributing towards economic growth and social development in these communities and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeyond this, we see ourselves as becoming the reliable and right partners for those corporate businesses that have a countrywide reach. One way to serve these customers better and meet their needs, is for Nedbank to be present in the key areas where these customers are,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Guta further said the opening of the two new branches is in keeping with the bank\u2019s client centred approach to continue delivering a choice of distinctive experiences and channels, enabled through physical and digital presence.<\/p>\n
He also said that Nedbank Malawi is in a growth and investment drive.<\/p>\n
