The soldiers share the top slot<\/p>\n<p>with Wanderers who are second, courtesy of an inferior goal difference. Civil Coach Franco Ndawa thanked his players for approaching the game with a positive attitude which he said helped them to maintain their lone goal lead up to the end. \u201cI also attribute the win to the good working relationship between all stakeholders in the<\/p>\n<p>team. Our supporters should expect better results should the working environment continue to be as conducive as it is now,\u201d Ndawa said.<\/p>\n<p>Red Lions assistant coach, Pritchard Mwansa, conceded defeat, saying his team did not play well especially in the second half. But he said the loss does not mean that his team has gone offtrack in its quest to finish the first round at the top of the log table.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came to Lilongwe to collect maximum points. But things have not gone according to plan. We have noted the problems that are there and we will be back to winning ways in our next match,\u201d Mwansa said.<\/p>\n<p>In other results, Dwangwa United and Mafco played out a oneall draw with Josephat Kwalira and Kingsley Nkhonjera, respectively, finding the back of the net. Blue Eagles claimed maximum<\/p>\n<p>points in an away match against Blantyre United through a 1-0 win, courtesy of Eliya Kabingu\u2019s goal. In Mzuzu, Azam Tigers started their tour of the Northern Region on a bright note after beating hosts Mzuni 1-0.<\/p>\n<p>Bonda Mpinganjira scored the lone goal. Games continue today with Kamuzu Barracks and Moyale meeting at Civo, while Chitipa United host Azam Tigers at Mzuzu Stadium.
