Representatives of Nissan Malawi have spoken highly of their ability to claim a 24 percent market share within three years in the country.<\/p>\n
The development comes against a background of the company owning a two percent stake on the market in 2014.<\/p>\n
This came out during an interaction with its customers, the company held in Lilongwe on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Nissan Malawi\u2019s Lilongwe Branch Manager, Yamikani Mbawala, highlighted that the interaction was part of the company\u2019s initiative to cement the existing relationship between the firm and its customers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was meant to appreciate the business that they have given us in the past few years because our customers have done a lot. We have sold many vehicles and we have increased our market share by 22 percentage points which means we are doing exceptionally well\u201d Mbawala said.<\/p>\n
He further said despite government being the biggest buyer followed by non-governmental organisations, the company has seen the number of individual customers increasing in recent years.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the impact of the influx of second hand vehicles in the country mostly procured via the internet, Mbawala said it has helped consumers to appreciate the Nissan brand.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe influx of second hand vehicles in the country is good news to us because you can agree with me that four years there were a few Nissan vehicles on the roads of Malawi but the coming of these second hand vehicles has build confidence among the people in as far as the brand is concerned\u201d Mbawala said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
