The music industry in Malawi is not short of new entrants; one of the new artists on the scene is Vincent Ngayiyaye whose new album justifies why he is dreaming big.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was born in an environment of love; feelings are expressed differently, so I was inspired to sing and spread God\u2019s love through music,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
His latest album, Alipo Wina, <\/em>is a fusion of educative and entertaining elements.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a new touch of gospel with the familiar Biblical messages. It is for all ages that is why it is a fusion of a number of genres like reggae, R&B and pasada,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Despite the local gospel music scene being flooded with musicians, Ngayiyaye is confident that he would make it big.<\/p>\n \u201cI am taking the career as far as life. Heaven has opened a song book for me that is infinite there is no limit with God,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Ngayiyaye joins a number of artists who prefer online distribution as it is cost-effective.<\/p>\n \u201cThe popular online distribution channel is helping a lot of musicians in Malawi; we have a chance to reach the world with just a click of a button. It is now easier to connect with the audience and maintain a relationship that is special; it is important to understand the audience and give them what they want,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The gospel musician said his music is about salvation for humankind.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is about doing God\u2019s will. I am into music not for my personal glory but to speak to the audience and highlight what God wants,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Some of the songs are already on nyimbo zathu.<\/em>com which was launched few months ago.<\/p>\n \u201cMalawi needs to utilise the technological advancements taking place.
