South Africa\u2019s musical group Mafikizolo will jet in Thursday ahead of a performance tomorrow at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) where they are expected to share the stage with Tay Grin.<\/p>\n
The group will perform in the country courtesy of South African Business and South African High Commission.<\/p>\n
The performance, whose proceeds will contribute to the construction of the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar) Multipurpose Centre, is part of celebrating South Africa\u2019s Youth Day and 23 years of freedom.<\/p>\n
It is not the first time for Mafikizolo to perform in the country; they had a stint at the Lake of Stars Festival in Mangochi in 2014.<\/p>\n
The celebration of South Africa\u2019s 23 years of freedom will be through a political, diplomatic, cultural and networking extravaganza hosted by the South African High Commission in partnership with some South African businesses and other partners.<\/p>\n
South African High Commissioner to Malawi Thenjiwe Mtintso said this will be an unforgettable event, at which they will experience shared heritage, fine wine, dance and music.<\/p>\n
The South Africa High Commissioner said this year marks 100 years since the birth of South Africa\u2019s foremost diplomat, Pan Africanist and liberator who also happens to be the longest serving president of Africa\u2019s oldest liberation movement (the African National Congress, President Oliver Reginald Tambo.<\/p>\n
Tambo fought for South Africa\u2019s freedom but missed its attainment.<\/p>\n
