Having cruised to the final on Friday, Daliso, son to former Cabinet minister George Chaponda, was tipped to win but it was not to be.<\/p>\n
Forget about his father allegedly being involved in the Zambia maize scam recently. Daliso has simply put the country on the up with his showdown in Britain\u2019s Got Talent.<\/p>\n
And several people, commenting on social media, have heaped praise on him, saying he is a genius as far as comedy is concerned.<\/p>\n
Daliso said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis has been a wonderful, insane roller coaster. Thanks bgt. It\u2019s brought me huge audience who I will now pummel frequently with jokes!\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Manchester Evening News<\/em>, the comedian, who is based in Manchester, came third after having the judges and audience in stitches with his \u2018non- PC routine\u2019.<\/p>\n Daliso lost out to pianist Tokio Myers on Saturday during the night\u2019s live final with young magician Issy Simpson coming second.<\/p>\n The comedian won through to the semi-finals after getting Amanda Holden\u2019s golden buzzer.<\/p>\n The comedian said then that he was shocked that he got the golden buzzer.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is always humour but my main mission is to make humour out of things that are painful,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Head judge Simon Cowell previously told him: \u201cI have to tell you something; you are one of the funniest people we have ever had on this show.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the fact you are so fantastically non-PC and I think that\u2019s part of the reason why people like you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n The winner, Myers, is the piano playing superstar who won Britain\u2019s Got Talent with his incredible skills.<\/p>\n He wowed fans with a rendition of Rag n Bone man\u2019s hit \u2018Human\u2019.<\/p>\n Myers beat 11 other acts to scoop the top prize of \u00a3250,000 and will perform at this year\u2019s Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen.<\/p>\n When his name was announced by hosts Ant and Dec, he fell to the ground with shock.<\/p>\n Runner-up Simpson was gracious in defeat and thanked the judges for bringing her onto the show.<\/p>\n Following his crowning moment, Myers took to the stage for a final time and played the audience out.<\/p>\n On Friday, Daliso had the judges and audience in stitches on the night\u2019s show with his routine, and the public agreed, voting him through to Saturday night\u2019s live final.<\/p>\n During the semi-final stage, he beat off stiff competition from Jamie Lee Harrison and Lords of Strut to secure a place in the final.<\/p>\n The 37-year-old said on Twitter before Saturday\u2019s night\u2019s show he \u201cwon\u2019t let Amanda down\u201d and he certainly did not do that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dalitso has done Malawi proud in Britain\u2019s Got Talent as he impressed throughout the competition despite failing to claim top position.
