Aaron), \u2018Ahaa\u2019, (Tim Godfrey &amp; The Xtreme Crew), \u2018Korede\u2019, (Mike Abdul), \u2018Haina Budi\u2019, (Eko Dydda), \u2018I\u2019m Available\u2019, (Sam Adebanjo), \u2018My All\u2019, (Jojo Demens) and \u2018Afadhali Yesu\u2019 (Size 8- Kenya).<\/p>\n<p>The African Gospel Music &amp; Media Awards (AGMMA) is the premier gospel event that recognises talent that exists in African gospel music and Christian media fraternity and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>The event honours and rewards artists at its annual awards event.<\/p>\n<p>The awards night is a culmination of its year-long activities which includes seminars, resource and networking events, regional concerts and career guidance.<\/p>\n<p>According to available information, the awards seek to unearth, encourage, motivate and inspire musicians and media outfits to aspire to attain excellence in their ministries and businesses, and to be of better service to the kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Suffix, who recently shared the stage with US Christian rapper Da T.R.U.T.H. said he was nominated in two awards Afro Rap Artiste of Excellence and Music Video of Excellence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have failed to get all the two awards and have only managed one. It\u2019s so humbling and honestly I am so proud of myself but also for representing Malawi. People showed love during the voting process,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Suffix also hailed Faith Mussa, Sukez and Essim for working with him in the \u2018Mkazi wa Kumwamba\u2019 project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch awards strengthen your CV. This will motivate me to keep on working hard. As artists, we need such awards on both local and international fronts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The artist was also nominated in the inaugural Nyasa Music Awards which were held in May but he failed to get any award.<\/p>\n<p>Suffix, real name Aubrey Ghambi, said yesterday that the trophy which he was given in the Music Video of Excellence Award will be sent later.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that he is working on his debut album and that he will drop an official 2017 single off this album later this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t released any song this year. I have just been featured in Gwamba\u2019s song and Patience Namadingo\u2019s \u2018Dziko Lili Pa Moto,\u2019 song and a collabo with a Nigerian artist,\u201d Suffix said.<\/p>\n<p>The AGMMA is produced by 1615 Media, a UK-based Christian Media and Events Company with international affiliations in the media and music industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Youthful artist Suffix has scooped one award in the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA).
