Eliza Mponya\u2019s song \u2018Mulolelanji\u2019 has enjoyed massive airplay on most of the local radio stations since she dropped it.<\/p>\n
But it is now time for the gospel singer, who has backed several artists including Ethel Kamwendo Banda to launch the \u2018Mulolelanji\u2019 DVD and CD at Robin\u2019s Park in Blantyre on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The past years saw Mponya starring with her sister Triza, who is now currently in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The double launch of the DVD and CD will see her sharing the stage with Kamwendo Banda, Favoured Martha, Thocco Katimba and Patience Namadingo among others.<\/p>\n
She said she has worked hard putting the DVD and CD together and that she was ready for the double launch.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am ready and can\u2019t wait to get on stage,\u201d Mponya said.<\/p>\n
According to her, Mulolelanji <\/em>was recorded in 2015 at Alimoso Studios in Blantyre by Khathwa Aligiza and it has 11 tracks.<\/p>\n \u201cAs I launch a CD and DVD I am excited because the songs have done well especially \u2018Wakhala Bwanji,\u2019 and \u2018Mulolelanji\u2019 which are enjoying massive airplay,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n In the title track, Mponya is asking God as to why he allows evil people excel in life while those with good deeds struggle.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is the first time to launch an album since I started music in 2006 with my sister,\u201d said the songstress, who holds a diploma in theology.<\/p>\n In some of her songs she has fused traditional dances from the Lower Shire where she comes from.<\/p>\n With her sister Triza, they released two albums which has songs such as \u2018Watiyankha\u2019 and \u2018Ndine Mfulu.\u2019<\/p>\n Some of the songs in Mulolelanji <\/em>include \u2018I Want to Know You,\u2019 \u2018Mwandisiiranji,\u2019 \u2018Mwandipyoletsa,\u2019 \u2018Taoloka,\u2019 \u2018Yesu Ndi Mpanga,\u2019 \u2018Mwatsala Pinango,\u2019 and \u2018Ndaimilila.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Eliza Mponya\u2019s song \u2018Mulolelanji\u2019 has enjoyed massive airplay on most of the local radio stations since she dropped it.
