{"id":47385,"date":"2017-05-30T10:17:34","date_gmt":"2017-05-30T08:17:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=47385"},"modified":"2017-05-30T10:17:35","modified_gmt":"2017-05-30T08:17:35","slug":"khumbo-ngambi-in-golden-boot-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/05\/30\/khumbo-ngambi-in-golden-boot-race\/","title":{"rendered":"Khumbo Ng\u2019ambi in Golden Boot race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From nowhere, forward Khumbo Ng\u2019ambi has entered the Golden Boot Award race in the Airtel Top 8 Cup after grabbing a hat-trick as Be Forward Wanderers beat Moyale Barracks 3-2 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>After being reduced to a bench-warmer in most games since he joined Wanderers in 2015, Ng\u00e1mbi was handed a starting role due to the absence of injured strikers Peter Wadabwa, Jafali Chande, Ishmael Thindwa and Amos Bello.<\/p>\n<p>Ng\u00e1mbi, who was named man of the match, is just a goal above closest contenders, Manase Chiyesa and Ndaona Ndaisi of Kamuzu Barracks, who are out of the race.<\/p>\n<p>In a post-match reaction, Wanderers Head Coach, Yasin Osman, praised the former under-20 forward for displaying a solid performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is still young and he has some work to do.
