{"id":47313,"date":"2017-05-29T11:19:43","date_gmt":"2017-05-29T09:19:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=47313"},"modified":"2017-05-29T11:19:45","modified_gmt":"2017-05-29T09:19:45","slug":"nico-group-donates-to-anti-corruption-bureau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/05\/29\/nico-group-donates-to-anti-corruption-bureau\/","title":{"rendered":"Nico Group donates to Anti-Corruption Bureau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nico Group, through Nico Holdings Limited, donated K4.5 million to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The money is to contribute to the media aspect of the regional conference which starts today.<\/p>\n<p>Nico Holdings Managing Director, Vizenge Kumwenda, said Nico Group made the donation considering that corruption is an issue that needs to be addressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thought this is an important event for us to be associated with. We felt we need to join the leadership in the fight against<\/p>\n<p>the problem,\u201d Kumwenda said.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the company believes in doing business in a \u201cfraud, and corruption-free\u201d country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a group, we have fraud policies that are aimed at ensuring that, as a company, we ensure that we don\u2019t allow that problem [corruption] to infest our company,\u201d Kumwenda added.<\/p>\n<p>The regional conference will have heads of anti-corruption bodies from different countries for over three days.<\/p>\n<p>ACB Director General, Lucas Kondowe, thanked Nico Group for the donation and called on everyone to assist in corruption fight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nico Group, through Nico Holdings Limited, donated K4.5 million to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday.
