Central Zone Basketball League (Cezobal) giants, Bravehearts and Southern Zone Basketball League side, Mikoko, have withdrawn from next month\u2019s Swaziland Invitational Tournament.<\/p>\n
The tournament will take place at the University of Swaziland and Mavuso Sports Centre from June 23 to 25.<\/p>\n
Bravehearts Head Coach and Patron, Griffin Kalua, yesterday said they pulled out of the tournament because their players will be engaged in examinations.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn top of that, we will also be busy with King and Queen of the Court Tournament soon,\u201d Kalua said.<\/p>\n
But Cezobal defending champions, Central Knights and Lady Dynamites, have confirmed their participation in the Swaziland event.<\/p>\n
Knights Head of Marketing and Fundraising, Emmanuel Phiri, said they had intensified preparations for the tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are still appealing to individuals and companies to assist us. Some individuals have started donating towards our trip to Swaziland,\u201d Phiri said.<\/p>\n
Last year, Knight struggled in the Swaziland competition.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Bravehearts continued their impressive displays in Cezobal after beating Knights 74-64 over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Lady Bravehearts defeated Lady Dynamites 81-49 on the same day.<\/p>\n
