Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)-listed NBS Bank has rolled out a new promotion which will see three of its customers winning starting capital worth K5 million each to roll out a business of their choice.<\/p>\n
Dubbed Loto Langa Promotion, the competition is open to existing and new saving and current accounts customers of NBS.<\/p>\n
Marketing and Public Relations Manager at NBS Timothy Ngwira told journalists when launching the promotion that the bank has resolved to offer start-up capital to its customers after realising that access to capital remains a challenge to most entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
He said the promotion also intends to help the bank\u2019s customers to cultivate a saving culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is in our interest to see that we improve the financial standing of our customers. The promotion also eyes to ensure that the customers are exposed to the entrepreneurial world by offering free-start-up capital,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Ngwira, apart from the start-up capital, the bank will also offer technical support to the winners<\/p>\n
He said this is targeting customers with business ideas that would substantially grow over time.<\/p>\n
To qualify, one requires to deposit a minimum of K30, 000 and maintain it for at least a month.<\/p>\n
