{"id":45763,"date":"2017-05-05T10:05:20","date_gmt":"2017-05-05T08:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=45763"},"modified":"2017-05-05T10:05:21","modified_gmt":"2017-05-05T08:05:21","slug":"car-runs-over-player-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/05\/05\/car-runs-over-player-to-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Car runs over player to death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Simama Premier Division teams will this weekend observe a minute of silence in honour of Ekwendeni United player Amos Mbunge who died after being hit by a car in Mzimba District.<\/p>\n<p>Mbunge died on the spot after the accident near Trophor Farm on Wednesday evening when he was coming from the team\u2019s training ground.<\/p>\n<p>Ekwendeni Coach, Gerald Duwe, confirmed the player\u2019s death, but could not give further details on the incident.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, said the team was deeply shocked by their key defender\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Northern Region Football Association Vice Chairperson, Felix Msiska, has called on the teams to observe a minute of silence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is really sad to learn about his death.
