Be Forward Wanderers striker Ishmael Thindwa is expected to start physiotherapy today at Beit Cure International Hospital in Blantyre.<\/p>\n
The striker, who got injured while playing for the Flames against Madagascar at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe last Saturday, was assessed at the hospital on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The Flames doctor, Levison Mwale who accompanied Thindwa to the hospital, said the injury was not serious as earlier feared.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe results show that he just stretched his ligaments on the right leg. He will be going to the hospital for physiotherapy for the next three weeks,\u201d Mwale explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe should be back on the field of play in the fourth week of the month to start light training, which is called rehabilitation. I have just advised him to follow the instructions by the hospital so that he should recover fully.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thindwa said he was glad that he will likely return to action soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe physiotherapy starts tomorrow (today) which means that I will be fully recovered in the next three weeks, and probably miss three games,\u201d Thindwa said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always set standards when a league kicks off and this year, I want to help my team grab the league title. I am sure I will achieve that because I am also eyeing the Super League Golden Boot Award.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wanderers have been hit by injuries in the striking force with Amos Bello, Jabulani Linje, Peter Wadabwa also down.<\/p>\n
Wanderers General Secretary, Mike Butao, told The Daily Times last week that they might sign a free agent as a cover to the injured strikers.<\/p>\n
