{"id":45606,"date":"2017-05-03T08:29:47","date_gmt":"2017-05-03T06:29:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=45606"},"modified":"2017-05-03T08:29:48","modified_gmt":"2017-05-03T06:29:48","slug":"mzuni-fc-line-up-fundraising-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/05\/03\/mzuni-fc-line-up-fundraising-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Mzuni FC line up fundraising activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three months after declaring a K35 million deficit, Mzuni FC have lined up fundraising activities to meet the shortfall.<\/p>\n<p>The Super League outfit will start its fundraising activities with a music show at Luwinga Township in Mzuzu this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The show will involve Mzuzu-based Pasada and R n B artist, Blessings Bwanali, according to the club\u2019s Chairperson, Albert Harawa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis show is just a starter.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the catchment area of the activity, we are targeting more than K2 million,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom there, we will proceed with Black Missionaries. We have a huge deficit and we feel it is high time we started mobilising funds to fill those financial gaps as soon as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mzuni budgeted K66 million for the 2017 season, which kickoff over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Mzuini\u2019s main sponsor, Mzuzu University, pumped K31 million into the team.<\/p>\n<p>Mzuni will get their 2017 season underway against Blue Eagles at Nankhaka on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Mzuzu-based side finished on position nine last season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three months after declaring a K35 million deficit, Mzuni FC have lined up fundraising activities to meet the shortfall.
