{"id":45373,"date":"2017-04-29T08:47:23","date_gmt":"2017-04-29T06:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=45373"},"modified":"2017-04-29T08:47:24","modified_gmt":"2017-04-29T06:47:24","slug":"fam-tightens-ticket-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/04\/29\/fam-tightens-ticket-security\/","title":{"rendered":"Fam tightens ticket security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To curb gate ticketing fraud, Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has introduced security features called Tamper Evident Security Holograms\u2014an extra layer of security\u2014on entry tickets.<\/p>\n<p>The special tickets are on sale ahead of today\u2019s African Nations Championship (Chan) match between Malawi\u2019s Flames and Madagascar.<\/p>\n<p>The second leg, first round qualifying match is scheduled for Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>Of late, there have been concerns over gate ticketing fraud after some fans were caught selling fake tickets during the recent Chifundo Charity Shield at Civo Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the setback, Fam Marketing and Commercial Director, Limbani Matola, is confident that the new security features will minimise fraud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have engaged FDH Bank and the government auditors on this. We are working very closely with the printers to make sure that there are no flaws.
